Oregano essential oil is a medicinal oil that is rich in antioxidants. It can help reduce inflammation, and has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal properties. In naturopathic medicine Oregano essential oil is often used in capsule form to assist respiratory infections, oral thrush and other yeast infection, gut parasites, and harmful bacterial overgrowth. Or a few drops in a capsule for gut pathogens, or colds and flu symptoms. Oregano essential oil is a ‘hot oil’ and a little goes a long way, so using a few drops in popcorn creates a wonderful flavour. Please note that oregano essential oils are destroyed with heat, so add them after cooking.
